“What an adventure….17 months with 47 showings in 3 counties in northern Virginia. Hugo made the journey pleasant, remained patient with my girlfriend and me who had completely different visions of the perfect house. She wanted a new modern house in an urban location and I want old rustic in a country setting. In the end Hugo found the perfect house that fit both our needs and he actually picked the house we purchased without us seeing it. Our house hunting adventure started in October 2015 and ended on 24 February 2017 when we made settlement on the most wonderful house we could have wished for. Our search covered most of Loudoun, Clarke and Prince William counties, it took us to 47 showings not counting the ones we looked at multiple times. Hugo’s knowledge of the real estate market helped us make informed decision that saved thousands of dollars and prevented us from making disastrous mistakes.
As mentioned earlier we actually purchased our house sight unseen on Hugo’s recommendation. After seeing a posting online and being unavailable to actually see the house, Hugo promptly toured the house within hours of us calling him and offered to facetime with us to also tour the house. While we couldn’t facetime Hugo said ‘this is exactly what you are looking for and we should not let it get away”. On his recommendation we asked Hugo to press forward and make it happen. That evening Hugo cancelled his plans drew up an offer and submitted to the owners. The next day we received a counter offer and accepted. It was over 5 days before we actually saw the house and Hugo was correct it was exactly what we were looking for. The perfect balance of old and new, and city and country. As we later discovered there were multiple offers on the house the first day it went on the market. The only reason we got it was because Hugo took the time and submitted the first offer. If it weren’t for his diligence and sacrifice we may still be looking.
There are hundreds of real estate agents in the area that will show houses and take you on tours but there is only one Hugo who takes the time to get to know you, yours wants and desires and find the perfect house. Hugo actually knew what we wanted better than we did. If you’re looking for an agent to take you to houses and open the doors there are hundreds in the area. If you’re looking for a person who genuinely wants to know you and what you really want, whether you realize it or not, it is Hugo.
